UPDATE 19 - We Closed on the Loan!

Hey all!

Just a quick update to say that we closed on our construction loan today! Dave Wenger and I got everything in line, traveled to our title company, and signed the papers. All passed without incident. Dave and I (but especially Dave) have put a lot into this over the past couple of months. We are so thankful that God provided CIF and great terms for our loan.

Up next is signing the contract with the GC. All the pieces are lining up for work to begin next week!

Don’t forget to join us for our groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday November 2 at 2531 E Lehigh Ave! We will have our usual service at 9am at UWC, but, after communion, we will invite everyone to trek over to 2531 E Lehigh Ave to finish our service over there. In my previous post, I said we would start at 11am; actually, I bet we are there a bit earlier. I recommend arriving by 10:30am if you want to be part of the ceremony.

We will have a short liturgy, prayers of the people, a song, and the benediction in the new building before enjoying Little Susie's pies and coffee afterwards. Also, we will be handing out chalk so everyone can write prayers on the walls. When you come to park at the new building, we recommend driving northeast past Lehigh Ave to Somerset Ave, then turning right on Belgrade St, and using street parking under the overpass.
