UPDATE 35 - 7 WEEKS: Tons of Progress!
Hey all!
I got back from vacation this week. During my three weeks away, I was amazed to find how much work has been completed on the building.
Insulation and drywall have gone up. No more imagining what the rooms will be – now we can see them!
The electricians are nearly finished. PECO will start running power to the building this week. At this point, the electricians just have to do final touches, outlets, and lighting.
The main stairs were installed. They are wide and will be used a lot.
The elevator/lift has been installed. Inspections are required before we can operate the elevator, but it is in there now.
Layers of walls are being put up to further isolate sound from our future neighbor. There have been encouraging reports that very little of the construction noise is getting through.
When I was on vacation, I was dreading all the work in the weeks ahead. But walking through the building has gotten me excited again. Thank you Lord!
If you want to walk through the building yourself, save the date for our next prayer walk on Sunday, August 23 after our 4pm service. We will pray inside and outside the building.
Oh and don’t forget to sign up for a day to fast in preparation for our move!
