UPDATE 34 - 10 WEEKS: Planning to Celebrate

Hey all!

Last week I let you know about ways we are planning to pray in the season leading up to moving into the new building.

In this post, I wanted to let you know about our projected calendar moving into the new building. In this schedule, I want to draw your attention to the importance of celebrating. God has provided this building to us! He has provided the funds to make renovations possible! And this building will be for him. It will be so fitting to thank HIM for all he has given us. We also hope to thank God for the past five years worshipping at Urban Worship Center! We are working on having a combined service with Urban Worship Center on August 30 so we can bless them and they can bless us and so we can reflect on all the good God has brought through our time sharing a building.

I would invite you to also think about how you can celebrate this move with your own families! God has called many of us to serve, give, and pray. How can your own family pause to thank God? How has he blessed your family through this process?

On to the expected calendar!

Sunday, July 26: Prayer Walk at 2531 E Lehigh Ave

Sunday, August 23: Prayer Walk at 2531 E Lehigh Ave

Saturday, August 29: Packing Day at UWC

Sunday, August 30: Combined 10:30am service with UWC (no 4pm service that day; more details to come in the weeks ahead)

Saturday, September 5: Moving Day

Sunday, September 6: Preview Service at 2531 E Lehigh Ave for volunteer leaders (morning)

Sunday, September 6: Last 4pm service at UWC

Wednesday, September 9: Open house at 2531 E Lehigh Ave (evening)

Thursday, September 10: Open house at 2531 E Lehigh Ave (evening)

Sunday, September 13: First service together at 2531 E Lehigh Ave

Sunday September 20: Cookout for neighbors after our service

I am also hoping to plan a celebration night for a Friday evening sometime this Fall. At that celebration night, I will thank the many people God used to bring this project to completion. Pray for my preparation of that evening! I am so excited to thank people.
