UPDATE 36 - 4 WEEKS - Celebrating the Past Five Years

Hey all!

These posts have so often been future facing! But I wanted to take one that is past facing.

On Sunday, August 30, we will have a combined service with Urban Worship Center (UWC) at 10:30am. We will not be having our 4pm service that day. At that service, we will worship together and thank God for the time he has had us share a building with them.

Liberti River Wards moved into UWC in 2021. What are some memories you have from these past five years? What was challenging? What were the joys given to your family by the LORD? For me, they were years of big change: my family growing, coming out of COVID, my ordination, and of course God providing us with the future building (along with the years of work and preparation to get there).

As I look back on 2021-2026, I am going to remember God’s kindness in letting us share space with UWC. I didn’t realize in 2021 what a blessing and encouragement it would be to rub shoulders with them. As we make this move, I am going to miss running into Pastor Jose in the building and hearing updates about his son’s baseball team; talking to Ariel from their leadership team about scheduling requests and checking in on life; greeting Pastor Yvette and Mrs Gladys (and smelling their cooking when they had congregational meals); and seeing Pastor Deb lead VBS and get the kids in a frenzy for Jesus. I will miss their balloon arches :). I love them a lot! And I know they love us too. I’m so thankful God has given us this season together, and I can’t wait to continue to hear about what God is doing in UWC in the years ahead.
