UPDATE 30 - Framing & the Roof

Hey all!

I had a meeting at the future building today and wanted to send you all an update of the work being done there now.

Our GC is moving fast! Their team has completely ripped out the previous second floor and reframed a new second floor. The new second floor is more equipped to limit sound transmission, structurally hold our congregation, and it is just over a foot closer to the ground (which will allow a bit more ceiling space in the future sanctuary). Also, their team has framed out the walls on the first floor. It’s exciting. For the first time, I can see what the shape of the rooms will literally be… not just on paper but with real materials!

The GC has started bringing a parade of subcontractors to work on the building. The major one this week was the roofer. That roof badly needed work! It has almost entirely been replaced this week. We are doing work to set up this building for use for years and years to come.

Keep praying! Thank you for your interest and support of the project. Let’s keep the end vision in mind– this building being a place where God is worshiped, our church family has a home, and our neighbors are welcomed. Our help in getting there comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121). He can remake this building too!
