UPDATE 29 - The Latest at the Building
Hey everyone!
Construction continues at the future building! In the photos, you can see that the second floor has nearly been entirely removed, and the crew is working at putting in the structure for the new second floor.
Lots of pieces are moving. Our GC is scheduling a parade of subcontractors to come through in the next couple of months: roofers, electricians, elevator installers, and more.
We were delayed for a few weeks because we had to order a special sound transmission material and the supply was badly backlogged. In the pictures, you can see a small purple material that goes under each of the joists for the wall on Belgrade St. That little material should greatly limit the sound transmission that comes from our worship services to the outdoors and to neighbors’ houses. (On the other side of the wall, we have “decoupled” our structure from the neighbor’s house to limit sound transmission).
Keep the building project in prayer! Pray that God would keep preparing this place to be a house where his name is uplifted, his people are refreshed, and our neighbors are blessed.
