While cultures throughout history have shown care for the transition from boyhood to manhood, our contemporary culture has jettisoned any concern for this journey. We have been left to scramble for clues to greater or lesser extents as the culture tells us "It's no big deal; no one helped me; go figure it out yourself!"

As we reflect on this, we also ask ourselves: how have we come to understand and establish our definition of manhood? We may have looked to our fathers, granddads, uncles, or older brothers. Others may have turned to sports champions, movie stars, and social media. 

During our men's retreat this year, Jim Bergwall will lead Liberti's men to understand the place of Christ in the journey to manhood in the context of competing models from our culture. The retreat will include teaching, reflection, worship, discussion, and free time. The retreat will take place at Innabah Camp and Retreat Center, which is just over an hour outside the city.

**For the past fifteen years, we have been able to charge $50 for the men’s retreat because we had a deal with the West Chester KOA. As of this year, the KOA is under new ownership. They informed us in mid-October that they could not accommodate us.
