Beginning on Wednesday, February 26, is the liturgical season of Lent. At the start of Lent, we hold an Ash Wednesday service. Ashes commemorate both the dust from which Adam and Eve were created in the Genesis story, the transience of our own lives (“ashes to ashes. . .”), and also the cross of Jesus. We will hold both a morning (6:30am) and evening (6:30pm) service on Wednesday February 26 in our Fellowship Hall. There will be time for reflection, repentance, and contemplation.
